South Woodham Ferrers is creating a Neighbourhood Plan. Neighbourhood planning gives communities direct power to develop a shared vision for their neighbourhood and shape the development and growth of their local area.
Whilst our Neighbourhood Plan cannot alter the number of new houses proposed by Chelmsford City Council’s local plan it will influence the very important decisions that need to be taken to ensure South Woodham Ferrers continues to be a thriving town
The Neighbourhood Plan is well under way; a Steering Group has been established and now has Jackie Birch as its Chairman.
‘The Neighbourhood plan is divided into seven sectors. Each of these sectors will require volunteers to help with: collection of data, compiling of information and eventual policy writing. If you can help, please contact Debbie Edwards (Neighbourhood Plan Co-ordinator) on either 01245 429445 or firstname.lastname@example.org
If you have any queries regarding the Neighbourhood Plan, please do not hesitate to contact Debbie Edwards using the contact details above.
